Chairman of Blum Capital
Mr. Blum, the Founder and Chairman of Blum Capital Partners, L.P., serves on the investment committee of MSP. Since Blum Capital’s founding, Mr. Blum has overseen almost $11 billion of equity investments made by that firm. During that time, Blum Capital has raised capital from hundreds of limited partners, including many prominent public, private and corporate pensions, endowments, family offices, and high net worth individuals. Mr. Blum has extensive experience in the real estate sector, and has invested in the real estate industry through multiple investment cycles, including a series of investments in CB Richard Ellis, where Mr. Blum served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mr. McCabe has senior responsibility for overall management of MSP funds and oversight of sourcing and managing MSP's investments. Mr. McCabe serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for MSP.
Mr. McCabe joined Blum Capital as a Managing Partner in September 2012, where he serves as a member of the management committee. Mr. McCabe co-founded MSP in 2013, where he is responsible for overseeing and managing MSP's global real estate-related investment initiatives. Prior to joining Blum Capital, Mr. McCabe worked at JPMorgan from 1992 through August 2012. During his 20-year tenure at JPMorgan, Mr. McCabe held several positions in the Investment Banking Division, including Managing Director and Global Head of Real Estate and Lodging Investment Banking.
Mr. McCabe is a member of the Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California at Berkeley, and is also an executive council member of the Real Estate Finance and Investment Center and serves on the REIT Investment Funds Advisory Board for the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas, Austin. He has served as a director of RREEF Property Trust, Inc. since November 2012, as a director of Columbia Property Trust, Inc. (NYSE: CXP) since September 2013, and as a director of Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. (NYSE: SHO) since April, 2016, and as a director of RREEF America REIT II, Inc. since late 2016.
Mr. Lamont has responsibility for overall management of MSP funds and oversight of sourcing and managing MSP's investments. Additionally, Mr. Lamont has responsibility for financial analysis, due diligence, and asset management activities related to investments by MSP. Mr. Lamont serves as a member of the Investment Committee for MSP.
Mr. Lamont joined Blum Capital in 2013. Prior to joining Blum Capital, Mr. Lamont worked for five years at RSF Partners, an opportunistic real estate private equity fund with aggregate equity commitments of $500 million. Prior to RSF Partners, Mr. Lamont worked at Robertson Stephens, a middle-market investment bank focused on the technology industry and the New York Times Company.
Mr. Lamont received an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, and a BA in history from Yale University.
Mr. Pak has responsibility for financial analysis, due diligence, and asset management activities related to investments of MSP. Prior to joining Blum Capital in 2015, Mr. Pak spent three years in the Real Estate Group at Harvard Management Company. While at Harvard, Mr. Pak focused exclusively on public and private real estate investments across all property types. Prior thereto, he was an analyst at KeyBanc Capital Markets within the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Mr. Pak earned a BA in economics from Princeton University.
Erin Wallets O’Grady
Ms. O’Grady has responsibility for asset management activities related to investments of MSP. Prior to joining Blum Capital, Ms. O'Grady spent eight years with RSF Partners, an opportunistic real estate private equity fund with aggregate equity commitments of $500 million, primarily focused on asset management and fund reporting. Prior thereto, Ms. O’Grady worked in asset management for iStar Financial, Fremont Investment and Loan and the Archon Group, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. Additionally, she worked with the Portfolio and Structured Finance division of the company and Archon Financial. Ms. O’Grady received her BBA degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
Mr. Marinov has responsibility for financial analysis, due diligence, and asset management activities related to investments of MSP. Prior to joining Blum Capital in 2016, Mr. Marinov spent two and a half years as an analyst in the U.S. Real Estate Group at Goldman Sachs. While at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Marinov focused on acquisition, development, and asset management activities for the firm’s real estate equity investments. Mr. Marinov earned a MS in Finance from Vanderbilt University and BA in finance from the University of Miami.
Ms. Dalchau serves as Executive Assistant/Office Manager and Analyst to the MSP team. Prior to joining Blum Capital in 2012, Ms. Dalchau worked at The Dallas Morning News for 13 years as Executive Assistant/Office Manager. Ms. Dalchau graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Psychology.
Ms. Li is a consultant to MSP, providing services that include monitoring existing investments as well as analysis and due diligence regarding potential investments. Ms. Li joined Blum Capital in 2013 where she serves as a member of the Investment Committee and has been a Partner of the firm since 2016. She is responsible for sourcing, investing and managing corporate investments. Ms. Li started her career in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse in London in 2001, where she advised companies in the Media and Telecom space. After Credit Suisse, Ms. Li joined Terra Firma Capital Partners’ Buy-Out Group in London in 2005, focusing on investing in sectors with real assets and contractual cash flow. In 2006, Ms. Li joined TPG Capital’s Buy-Out Group in Hong Kong, where she was involved in the acquisition and exits of a number of investments in sectors ranging from Technology to Financial Services in the Asia-Pacific region. Ms. Li received a MA (Oxon) from University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, and MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Ms. Li currently serves as a board observer of one portfolio company, PAG.
Mr. Ostrander is a consultant to MSP, providing services that include monitoring existing investments as well as analysis and due diligence regarding potential investments. He provides similar services to Blum Capital as a Vice President of that firm. Prior to joining Blum Capital in 2014, Mr. Ostrander served for five years as United States Senator Dianne Feinstein’s advisor on financial, banking, and economic policy. Mr. Ostrander received a BA from Stanford University, where he played quarterback and was a two-year team captain of the varsity football team.
